Gaming Industry

(Professionals, Mentors, Designers)

There are many young people who are neurodivergent and find many everyday parts of life difficult to access. When gaming is used as a therapeutic tool to support them, it can make accessing tutoring, socialising, or learning more accessible to them on many levels. There are many skills and benefits to young people that can be gained through gaming to support their holistic development in areas from social and emotional, to mental health to cognitive and academics. Many of the skills gained through gaming can be utilised as transferable skills to many other tasks. There are many mentors providing gaming input to support young people and working with those who struggle with anxiety and low mood. Yet they have very little training or knowledge and many wish to gain knowledge and skills to be more competent in their job role.

Equally there are many professionals who use gaming as a way of connecting and would like to be more able to identify the needs as to how best to support a young person whether it is through coding, design, or simply socialising to increase confidence.

We work with professionals to support and develop their skills and understanding to support young people with neurodivergence, anxiety and mental health through the benefits of gaming, and reducing barriers to accessing their learning and education.
